Camp Davy Crockett is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, in Northeast Tennessee.  Its pristine wilderness and strong camping traditions make it a fantastic place to attend camp.

Camp Davy Crockett is 1,865 acres with 9 miles of shoreline on Cherokee Lake.  We are excited to continue the traditions and to be a place where we Build Tomorrow’s Leaders.

New to Camp: Cowboy Action Shooting Range

Matt and Cecile Wimberley cut the ribbon on a new shooting range at the Camp Davy Crockett Shoot-O-Ree on May 5th. The 12-bay shooting facility is designed for Cowboy Action shooting- a competitive style in which participants use pistol, rifle, and shotgun in “Wild West” courses of fire for time and accuracy. The range was built with this diverse style of shooting in mind, but like all of the other facilities at Camp Davy Crockett, it can serve multiple purposes. In just 2 short months of operation, it has served over 200 Scouts, Scouters, and guests at camp. The new Cowboy Action Range would not have been possible without the generosity of the Wimberley family and the hard work of the Wednesday Crew, Camp Director Dale Douthat, and our Camp Rangers Caleb Miller and Jerry Moyer. Be sure to stop by camp, try the new Cowboy Action Range, and grab a commemorative patch!
