Camp Davy Crockett is Temporarily Closed until Further Notice!
Due to the wildfire at Camp Davy Crockett the weekend of November 18-20, camp is temporarily closed a safety precaution.
The Sequoyah Council would like to offer sincere gratitude to all of the fire & EMS personnel from Hawkins County, Hamblen County, Tennessee Forestry Division and Tennessee Department of Agriculture for their diligence and hard work. Their efforts helped saved our camp.
At this time we do not expect this to effect our Winter Camp scheduled for December, 27-30, 2016. For more information about Winter Camp please contact the Council Service Center @ 423-952-6961.
Camp Davy Crockett has 1865 acres of beautiful outdoors including 8 miles of shoreline on Cherokee lake for use by scout units for week long resident camp during the summer as well as a 4 day resident camp for Webelos. Camp Davy Crockett has all the ingredients for fun: motor boats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks, swimming pool, rifle range, shotgun range, archery range, COPE course as well as over 50 merit badges and other programs.
When summer camp is over in August the facilities are available for scout units as well as other groups to use for weekend camping and programs. Go to our off season page for more information
